Tour of the Alps
After the Giro d'Italia, the Tour of the Alps is the biggest cycling race in Italy. The tour starts on 22 April in Kufstein, Austria and ends on 26 April in Bolzano. The stage race takes place between Tyrol, South Tyrol and Trentino.
The arrival of the second stage will take place in Scena on Tuesday, 23 April 2019. The second stage of the tour is the longest and most difficult of the entire route.
The starting point is Reith im Alpbachtal in Austria, from where the route is 179 km long and with a difference in altitude of over 3,000 m, it leads to the Brenner Pass, to Vipiteno and the Monte Giovo Pass and through the Val Passiria to Merano. The last 4,5 kilometers of the route are the most difficult ones: the final sprint passing the castle of Scena.
